The goal is not to become fearless. It is to recognize your fears, take steps to diminish it, and still take action.
We are by nature loss averse, so we tend to do things in order to avoid pain, rather than gain pleasure--even if the status quo is already painful.
There is a direct link between fear and skill set or competence.
The 4 stages of competence are: Unconsciously Incompetent, Consciously Incompetent, Consciously Competent, and Unconsciously Competent
Self-Work:
I invite you to go back to that list of situations and people you made on Day 2 and start practicing having each of these conversations with yourself or with a friend.
Then give yourself feedback and ask your friend to give you feedback on these questions:
Are you being authentic?
Are you standing up for yourself and what matters?
Are you taking into consideration both parties needs, or just your own?
Are you creating beauty and connection, or suffering and disconnect?
Are you avoiding anything, people-pleasing through anything, or becoming righteous and competing through anything?
