Summary:

  • Our voice is beyond what just comes out of our mouth. It is our presence, our energy, our aura, our actions.
  • What you do with our voice matters. You can create connection or disconnection. You can create beauty or suffering.
  • We fail to speak our truth and use our voice because we don't want to hurt others or endure hurt from others, but by holding our truth we hurt ourselves.
  • Peace notes are one way to initiate a conversation without starting it for real so you can end your own suffering.

Self-Work:

Think about 3-5 situations in which you have held your truth, and who is or was involved. This also can include yourself, as well as anyone that may not still be living.

You could have held your truth about:
  • A missed birthday.
  • A slip of the tongue that you pushed aside.
  • A dent in the car that you blamed on someone else.
  • An error that you made at work.
  • General negative feelings.

If you want to go a step further, craft a peace note to the person involved. No need to send it yet, just write it out. We will do more with this in the days to come.

Courage. Compassion. Connection.
